Have you ever woken up and just felt sad for no particular reason? That happened to me the other day and I just couldn’t shake it. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m usually the annoyingly chipper one. Obviously something happened in my sleep to cause such a feeling of sorrow.
Sorrow…it’s such an odd word to me. The dictionary describes it as a feeling of deep distress or disappointment, but when I say the word slowly I hear ‘Sorry’ in my head. Maybe sorrow is actually an unspoken apology that needs to come out. Or, maybe it’s a forgiveness that needs to be given.
Had I thought of this the other morning I could have apologized to and forgiven the unremembered dream and been on my chipper way.
What word do you hear when you say the word ‘Sorrow’ slowly?
