Be Careful…Your Words Have Power Over You

Consciously choose how you speak to yourself…every cell In your body is listening

It may sound impossible or ridiculous, but studies have shown that negative self-talk can directly impact our nervous and endocrine systems. Psychoneuroimmunology researchers have been verifying and studying this phenomenon for decades.

Psychoneuroimmunology is the interactions between the emotional state, nervous system function and immune system. Studies performed on these interactions have documented that thoughts and attitude play a significant role in the functioning of the immune system and new research points to a circuit linking the immune system and brain that connects illness, stress, mood and thought.

In addition, because we are naturally in and out of a trance state (self-hypnosis) throughout the day (remembering, daydreaming, planning, creating), every time we think or speak we are literally programming ourselves and either reinforcing current beliefs or creating new ones. Our beliefs direct our thoughts and actions, and now you’re beginning to see the cycle.

Allowing your thoughts and self-talk to run on autopilot can keep you stuck in a negative cycle that impairs your immune system and your physical, mental and emotional health.

Break The Negative Cycle

Speak to yourself as if you’re talking to a close friend or loved one. Speak to yourself as if your good health depends on it…because it does.
