Optimist or Pessimist…that is the question

I realized at a pretty young age that I felt things more deeply than others. Everything seemed to penetrate right through to my soul.

I noticed when I was happy everything around me was happy and when I was sad everywhere I looked there was sadness. At the time I didn’t know that I was creating my own reality, I just thought if things outside of me was happy or sad it made me feel the same way.

Now I know that I get to choose how I see things and how I perceive what’s going on around me creates my emotions; and I also get to choose how deeply I go into those emotions.

So, when I was young, I was neither an optimist nor a pessimist, I was simply allowing my thoughts and emotions to run wild on their own dragging me around with them.

I’ve since learned that it isn’t really about being optimistic vs pessimistic, it’s about which energy center I’m experiencing the universe through at that moment

Each of our energy centers has a specific job and our experiences are dependent on which one we are currently associating our sense of self with, for example:

Root – Security and Safety

Sacral – Creativity, Desires and Passion

Solar Plexus – Personal Power

Heart – Love and Connection

Throat – Self-Expression

3rd Eye – Intuition and Clarity

Crown – Higher Consciousness

And, it’s about whether that energy center is clear or blocked with past injury or trauma.

First, you can consciously choose which energy center to experience a situation through just by focusing on it for a few moments. This connects your consciousness to the energy center and allows you to use the resources from there while the situation is unfolding.

Second, you will realize pretty quickly if your energy centers are blocked by how you are feeling.

Blocked Energy Centers Create Feelings of Weakness, Being Attacked, Stuck or Trapped

*** Simple practice to begin clearing blocked energy centers ***

1. Choose one energy center to work on per day

2. Focus on that energy center as if it’s a small child (the wounds held there are a reflection of your inner child)

3. Think, Feel and Say:

I Love You

I’m Sorry

I Forgive You

I Value You

I Appreciate You

Thank You

4. Do this a few times during the day and just before you fall asleep

After seven days start again in the morning and before sleep.

By making this a practice you’ll be clearing deeper layers and also releasing anything new.
