Word of the Day…Struggle

Life is so different now. Over the past few years it seems everything is changing in ways that makes everyday living more difficult. The struggle to be successful and achieve the life of our dreams is being replaced with the struggle to keep a roof over our heads, the pressure of working a dead end job where you’re not appreciated, the heaviness of feeling like no one understands you, or worse, is against you. It feels like every day is battle you just can’t win.

If you look around you’ll see the anger and frustration boiling over in people who have never appeared hurtful or hateful in the past. Blame is being tossed around like a game of Hot Potato in hopes it will land on someone who will take responsibility and make it better.

Unfortunately, this is not going to be a popular thing to hear, but

Most of Us Have Given Our Power Away

We accept the belief that things are beyond our control, that nothing we do can make a difference, that we need someone outside of us to step in and fix things because only ‘they’ have the power.

Here’s a fact –

You Are So Powerful You Co-Create Everything Around You

I know this probably doesn’t make sense to you right now, but at some point, you’ll look back and realize the choices you made from the beliefs you held about yourself and others have created every situation in your life.

*** And I haven’t even begun to talk about the role your energy attraction plays in all of this.

If I could condense my highest intention for you into one realization it would be…

YOU ARE THE POWER

  1. You come to know beyond a doubt that you have complete control over your thoughts, beliefs and actions
  2. Which leads you to realize you have control of who You Are
  3. By releasing the emotional struggle and aligning your thoughts, beliefs and action with Your Authentic Self (the core of who you are) people, places and situations in your life begin to change – A. Because you are becoming a different person and the things that used to ‘set you off’ no longer work, so people learn to treat you differently – B. You begin to vibrate at a rate that now attracts positive and supportive people, places and things into your life…and you’ve become aware enough to recognize them
  4. You can also begin to take control and responsibility for yourself by taking a brutally honest look at what truly makes your inner light shine…hint: it probably won’t be things like keeping the car with the huge monthly payment…it will most likely involve being in a positive, loving and appreciative environment and being a part of a supportive community
  5. When opportunities show up Pay Attention and look for ways to take advantage of them
  6. Invest time and energy into yourself, into being the highest best version of you, you are so worth the effort!!
  7. Seriously consider making difficult choices that may be contrary to other’s opinions as you move yourself into possibly a different lifestyle that further helps you to move out of ‘fight or flight’ mode
  8. It’s not contrary to being Powerful to look for help in handling the stressful things that you have accumulated – A. Maybe you carry a lot of financial debt – B. Maybe your marriage or partner is difficult or abusive – C. Maybe you struggle to just get out of bed in the morning…there are experts who can help that won’t add to your struggle…

GET THE HELP YOU NEED

A part of taking back your power is to do the work to find those who can be of service to you without absolving you of your responsibilities (giving your power to someone else) There are non-profit organizations, therapists offering adjustable rates, free 12-step programs, debt consolidation programs. There’s nothing shameful or embarrassing about taking charge of your life.

Most don’t realize taking responsibility and self-power are synonymous – owning your sh!t while taking the steps necessary to clean up your mess and not take on anyone else’s mess is a huge step out of the darkness and into the light where your biggest struggle might be trying to get out of your yoga pants without tipping over.
