Am I Waisting My Life?

If you find yourself asking, “Am I Waisting My Life,” or ‘What Am I Supposed to be Doing,” you’re not alone, many people are thinking and feeling the same thing.

These questions can usually come from one of three places and your answer or solution depends on which.

1. From Your Head – When you’re wondering what to do with yourself and you’re feeling like other people have accomplished so much more, attained higher goals, or have bigger, better and more of the things you’d like to have chances are this is coming from your Head.

We all compare ourselves to others from time to time, that’s human nature, but if you find yourself getting stuck in feeling that you’re not good enough, you haven’t done enough, you’re not successful enough, or any of the other Enoughs it’s time to take a look at what beliefs you have that make you feel like you’re not enough and transform, reframe or release them.

Just so you know, it’s an impossibility for you to be Not Enough… in fact, you are the Exact Amount of Enough, no more or no less, and the universe rejoices at your enoughness.

2. From Your Heart – If you’re feeling like your life is flat, you’re just going through the routines of daily life because you have to be a responsible person, but you feel like your heart aches for something more, something that makes you feel fulfilled, this is coming from your Heart.

People who are feeling this way are generally empaths, caregivers and helpers who are not using their gifts. Many parents of children who have grown up, people who no longer have a spouse, and those who have shifted out of healthcare, teaching or service industries feel this way since it’s especially difficult once you’ve been using your gifts to suddenly stop.

The easiest way to feel ‘Alive’ again is to help others. Make a list of the activities you’ve done in the past that made you feel fulfilled, no matter how small or insignificant they seem. Look for a pattern of helping or connecting with others, this is Your Gift. Once you know your specific gift or gifts you can incorporate these into your daily routine. Maybe you help a neighbor or volunteer or join a club or take a class to connect with others and open yourself to ways of helping. Maybe you look toward shifting careers. Maybe you form your own group of people helping people in need in your community.

Once you recognize what’s missing in your life and you begin to focus on ways of bringing it to you, your Intuition and the Universe will conspire to bring you opportunities.

3. From Your Gut – Do you sense that you are being pulled toward something and yet you have no idea what it could be? Is it a bit disconcerting and maybe even a little frightening? This is coming from your Gut.

You are being called to awaken and expand your awareness. If this is the first you’ve heard of such a thing you can think of it this way – You are not made just of a body and a mind, but you are also made of energy, a frequency, and your higher self is calling to you to recognize this, experience it and live your authentic life.

Since you’re reading a blog about Intuitive Happiness you most likely are aware that you have an Intuition or Inner Knowing – this is a great place to start to experience yourself as energy. Start following your intuition when it’s telling to move toward or away from people, places and things. Listening to your body at first is key…You may get a sinking feeling in your gut when you need to avoid something or a warm glow in your heart telling you to move closer or connect to something, or it might just be an inner knowing, or maybe you smile or grimace, or you might lean toward or away, just follow it. Every time you do you’ll be creating a stronger channel of awareness, you’ll be expanding your energy, you’ll be connecting with your higher self.

Chances are you’re experiencing a combination of two or all three of these.

Wanting to feel fulfilled, connected, expansive, whole can lead you down a path you never dreamed was possible or it can bring you back to who you know you already are, either way it’s definitely worth taking the first steps and seeing where they lead…and meeting other amazing travelers along the way.
